Fu-Lin Wang

Dr. Fu-Lin (Frank) WANG earns his MD from Ningxia Medical College in 1982, Master in Public Health from Harbin Medical University in 1987, and PhD in Epidemiology from University of Calgary in 1994. Over 40 years, he serves as a teacher, practitioner and researcher in China and Canada.

As a registered acupuncturist in Canada since 1994, he worked at a private practice, then co-founded Bethune Oriental Medicine Center in 2002, and serves as president since. He also serves a few other positions: 1) Executive President and President, Canadian Institute of Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research, 2) Director, International Collaboration Center for TCM Clinical Research (Canada), the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), 3) Vice President and Executive President, Acupotomy Medical Association of Canada, 4) Council Member, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) among others. 

Over the past 30 years, Dr. Wang served as Adjunct Assistant Professor of University of Calgary, Instructor of the Acupuncture Program of MacEwan University, President of the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA), the Chair, Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of CAAA, Member of the Steering Committee for TCM Legislation in Alberta,  the Board Member of the Examination Committee for Acupuncture Registration Exam, Chair of the Membership Committee of Acupuncture Society of Alberta (ASA) among others. 

Dr. Wang is the author of more than 70 research papers, book chapters, and reports. He has made over 80 presentations at local, national, and international conferences in TCM, epidemiology and public health – over 40 presentations in TCM alone.

Dr. Wang believes in Yin-Yang balance and promotes integrative medicine. He has helped patients with various diseases and conditions, particularly for emotional disorders, insomnia, neurological conditions, stroke, cancer, infertility and reproductive disorders, arthritis and soft tissue injuries, and metabolic conditions.
